Lt. Col. Laura J. Perazzola-Ash

Lieutenant Colonel Perazzola-Ash is a native of Bonaire, GA.  She graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps.

In 2005, upon completion of the Combat Engineer Officer Course, Second Lieutenant Perazzola was assigned as a Platoon Commander to A Co, 9th Engineer Support Battalion.  From there she deployed as an individual augment to Camp Fallujah, Iraq with II MEF (FWD) as the Iraqi Security Forces Cell Engineer Officer.  In 2006, she deployed to Yojakarta, Indonesia with 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade for earthquake relief efforts.   In 2006, she was assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 31 (CLB-31) as the Engineer Platoon Commander.  She deployed to South Korea, The Philippines Islands, and Australia during her time at CLB-31.

In 2007, she reported to Detachment West, Marine Corps Special Operations Support Group as the Engineer Section, Officer in Charge, then transitioned to the 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion, Headquarters and Services Company Executive Officer.  In 2009, she deployed with Special Operations Task Force 81 (SOTF-81) to Herat, Afghanistan.   While deployed with SOTF-81, Captain Perazzola served as the Engineer Officer in Charge as well as the Task Force Civil Affairs Officer.

In 2010, Captain Perazzola reported to the Naval Post Graduate School and earned a Master of Arts in National Security Studies, focused on Sub-Saharan Africa.   In 2012, she reported to the Marine Corps Forces Europe and Africa as a Regional Planner in the G-5, programming and planning USMC military cooperation across North, West, and Central Africa. 

In 2015, Major Perazzola reported to 2d Marine Division as the G-3 Assistant Current Operations Officer. In 2016, she deployed in support of Operation RESOLUTE SUPPORT in Kabul, Afghanistan where she served as the Operations Officer for the Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan, Combined Joint Engineers Directorate.  In 2016, she reported to 2d Combat Engineer Battalion as the Operations Officer, then later served as the Executive Officer.

In 2018, Major Perazzola was selected for Marine Corps Command and Staff and reported to Quantico, VA.  While at Command and Staff she earned a Master of Art in Military Studies and was a distinguished graduate.  In 2019, she reported to Logistics Division (LP), Installations & Logistics, HQMC.  She served as the LP Operations Officer.

In 2020, she reported to the Marine Corps Engineer School.  She served as the Director of Instruction and later transitioned to the Operations Officer.
