MCB Quantico -- The U.S. Marine Corps Wounded Warrior Regiment (WWR) change of command ceremony was held at Marine Corps University’s Warner Hall on Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, July 15, 2026. The ceremony signifies the transfer of command from Col Morina D. Foster to Col. Javier A. Garcia, the incoming commanding officer for WWR, and the continuation of the unit’s mission to serve recovering service members.

The Wounded Warrior Regiment provides leadership and ensures compliance with laws and Department of Defense (DoD) regulations related to the support, recovery, and non-medical care of combat and non-combat wounded, ill, and injured (WII) Marines, Sailors attached to Marine units, and their family members in order to maximize their recovery as they return to duty or transition to civilian life.
